I love, love, love this design. I had some of this felt stuff and I didn't know what to do with it. I wanted to do some sort of clutch but I changed my mind and then I went with a 3D type pochette. I did these in two sizes. A small and medium, both equally cute. Here are some pics of what they look like. They will be up on my site soon. Look out for them! I'm really inspired by Balenciaga and in my dreams I thought my pouchette would pair well with their Spring/Summer 09 collection that I am so in love with. Maybe, one day.
I am still sewing. I made these cute pouches which I will be posting later this week. It was kind of an accident/last minute design. They seem to be the best ones anyways. They are probably one of my favourite pouchettes I made. You will have to stay tuned. In the meantime, I will be stationary at my sewing machine.

I am currently working on new products for Ottawa and I am very excited. I have a few stores interested in my work and I hope to hear back from them soon. In the meantime I will be posting new work up until my trip to Ottawa. Until then, it is back in the sweat shop for me. See you then.
It is my nephew's 3rd birthday this week-end and I have been in pretty much all the kids and toy stores in Toronto. You kind of get sucked in these places being surrounded by weird toys that kids play with today. I was in the doll section of course and ran into Top Model Barbie. She was really badly dressed and looked like she was headed off to some bad club in LA. The fishnets kind of gave it away. You think that today's Barbie would be somewhat the modern gal on the go even if she is moonlighting as a Top Model. Tyra Banks would be proud.

Seems like all I've been blogging is food. Yes, I love food. After living in Toronto all my life I finally got to eat at Swan restaurant down on Queen Street. I avoid the Sunday brunch line-ups and have never been in to eat. It was really good and I hope to wake up early and have some brunch there one Sunday. Straight up good food in a diner-esque setting.

I often crave burgers quite often and tonight was no exception. Gourmet Burger Company is one of my favourite burger joints to frequent. It is located on the east end of town in the heart of Cabbagetown the total opposite from I live but it's worth the trip. Mmmmmmm burger. No photo of it taken cause you need to try it for yourself!
I am off to Ottawa in May to participate in the Tarts N' Crafts show in support of Ladyfest Ottawa. Someone had leaked the show to me before I could blog it so I am "offically" posting it on here. I have done the Ladyfest shows in the past and I am so excited to return with my Spring collection. The Ottawa guys and gals have been supportive with my work and I am happy to return to the capital city again. I will post more information before the show. Hope to see you there!
My website crashed the other day but everything is back up and running. I have forwarded any emails to my personal email. Everything is back to normal. I am back in production with my upcoming collection this Spring so keep a look out for new products. The image above is part of my new work focusing on lines, geometric abstract shapes. More to come.
my house/studio has undergone Project Runway territory once again prepping for The Hunt & Gather Show at The Workroom this Sunday. I am trying to "make it work" with some new styles and fabrics so I hope you like some of my new pieces. This is just a sneak peek of what's to come. Hope to see you at the show, come by my table and say hi! The books pictured, "Make It Yourself" craft series from the late 60's-70's are amazing books I have with craft projects and patterns. P.S I am missing #4 if anyone has it.
I am obsessed with vintage eyewear or eyewear in general. I collect anything from $5 no name flea market glasses to designer glasses. All in all, I am a huge fan of sunglasses. I will be selling some of my vintage glasses from my collection at The Hunt & Gather Trunk Show on Sunday April 19th. What a way to start spring off is with a pair of shades. Please be aware that they are vintage/dead stock sunglasses and they are not in perfect condition. I have cleaned them up and will only be selling pieces that are in wearable condition. There are many styles to choose from so I hope you will find one that is the perfect pair!
My friend Adrienne just came back from Florida and brought back some yummy junk across the border. To all of you who do visit the States will probably have me bugging them to smuggle some junk back. I'm not sure what the calorie count on all of this but I'm assuming it's more than 2000. Yummy!

I haven't been to the Colette site in awhile and I went on and boy was I smitten. Colette is this concept boutique in Paris which carries an array of fashion, books, beauty, gifts and various design oriented items. I'm not a huge fan of men's fashion for myself but I could've bought everything. I liked the mix bag of designers that they had for the mens and womens clothing. Most of the deisgners were my favourite anyways so it wasn't that hard finding pieces I loved. Thought I would pick a dream outfit for me as I daydream about walking the streets of Paris.
