I am soooo excited for my visit to Montreal.  Although I will be working the Pop Montreal craft show the Saturday and Sunday.  I hope to hit some hot spots for food, sights and shopping.  My first series in my Montreal trip is Reborn Boutique.  Carrying an array of my favourite designers I hope to swing by and try out some of my picks.

liberty overkill.

Ok, seems like Liberty of London has done it again with another collaboration.  This time with one of my favourite glasses company Super Future.  Not bad for $50 shades.  Will Liberty team up with H&M perhaps?

the real september issue.

Yes, I have picked up this year's September Issue.  Vogue's most anticipated issue previewing all of the new trends for Fall.  I am also anticipating the movie this Friday so let's hope it's not a let down.  Haven't finished the issue yet but some of the editorials shown are more or less "Vogue".

vintage finds.

I am an avid collector of vintage stuff.  Mostly mid-century stuff.  It's cool to find something when you're not looking for it and I think I have a few of those items in my home.  Here is a sweet find I got this past weekend.  A Strommen Bruk, Made in Norway sewing tier wooden chest.  It is pretty much in mint condition except one scratch but that's pretty much it.  I found others that had broken hinges but this is in pretty good condition.  It came with some vintage notions and sewing stuff also.

My sister had mentioned this company awhile back and I posted a bag that they did.  Fox In Mociun is an apparel company that makes great men and women apparel which I am loving their prints and cuts.  I was walking by Robber on Queen St and there it was, the geometric print that I love so much.  I will keep my eye out for their tote or pillow.

vintage fabric.

I was up at the cottage this past week-end and I found some vintage fabric as always.  It's always hit or miss but when I find it the result is pretty satisfying.  I've been picking up more graphic oriented fabric than the usual stuff I normally grab.  I hope to incorporate it into my home line.  Check back and see!

nadege, c'est bon!

So, I've visited Nadege Patisserie at Trinity Bellwoods since they opened and I am literally hooked.  Think Paris meets minimal white modern.  I think I've gained 30lbs from going there.  I have nothing but good things to say about their delicious cakes, macaroons, croissants, and coffee.  I've almost sampled everything and I will leave you with this cake which just melted in my mouth.  I call it the Pretty In Pink cake.  It's a fruity moist cake with pink champagne!!!

1983.

This is one of my favourite scenes in Flashdance with Jennifer Beals in her "boyfriend" blazer just walking and dancing with breakers.  Not only is this movie influential for fashion but but evokes everything amazing in 1983.  Enjoy!
