twitter.

Ok, so I've been on the fence about this.  I am not sure to go to the other side and Twitter.  If any of you can give me a reason to join Twitter.  I might think about doing it.  So tweet about this and my blog!  We'll see.

28.9.09

pop montreal.

There's only a few more days left before I leave for Montreal.  If you are in the Montreal area please come check out the show.  I always get nervous before these shows especially when they are out of the city.  I am really excited about my new products and I hope the Montreal kids and Pop Montreal people will love it too.

the eternity scarf.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this new scarf.  I bought this lovely linen fabric recently and knew I wanted to make a scarf.  I did my geometric print on the ends and I think it's one of my favourite new designs.  It's basically a looped scarf but I like to call the eternity scarf which gives you many options of wearing it.  It makes it's debut in Montreal this weekend.  I only made a limited amount so get it while you can!

let's try this again.

Word on the street is that The September Issue is finally going to hit theatres this month.  Let's hope Anna doesn't disappoints us AGAIN!  I will be the first in line hopefully!  See you then Miss Wintours.

26.9.09

the t-shirt issue.

This furthers my obsession with geometry and 3D shapes.  I am loving this wolf sweater and I would wear it in a second.  Amazing ideas and concepts from The T-Shirt Issue.

25.9.09

colour block.

These Raf Simons sneakers are giving full on colour block.  I love the colour choice and intensity.

24.9.09

eley kishimoto 2010.

I love this whole collection.  I was going to do a fashion week roundup but I thought most of the designs were blah and boring.  I would post this whole collection but here are my picks.  I am just going to post my favourite for 2010 Spring in the next while.  Loving ALL the prints and colours.

23.9.09

super geometric.

I still haven't switched over to my new glasses yet but I'm loving these geometric frames by Super Future.

22.9.09

top 5 picks.

This was posted awhile ago but I thought it was cool being picked for the top 5 picks on Toronto Craft Alert.  I am in full sewing mode so I hope I can post some of my work before my show.  See you then.

20.9.09

the madras scarf.

It's crunch time at my house right now and I'm excited and anxious about the Pop Montreal show.  Pictured above is my preppy madras scarf.  I pre-washed several times giving it a softer feel.  It's light weight and long.  Great for layering and easy to wash.  I'm still loving plaid because it's such a versatile pattern.  So excited about my new work.  I've been working on several products which I will be slowly posting before the show.  Back to the sewing!

18.9.09

city of craft.

Exciting news!  I will be showcasing my work at the City of Craft Holiday show.  If you don't know already, City of Craft is everything you need to know about the Craft or Crafters.  I will update you with more news as I am working towards my show in Montreal in October.  It will be a busy Fall/Winter.

17.9.09

rebecca minkoff.

My friend just bought a new bag from Rebecca Minkoff.  The Stud Roadie pictured above with Aggy sporting it.  Been loving her bags with hardware and studs.  It is that time of season where I new Fall bag needs to be found.  The search continues.

montreal series #4.

I will be totally busy but I thought I'd post this just in case I get to go.  The Biodome Montreal is an amazing venue all things nature and animals.  This venue hosts various adventures.  It has the planetarium, an eco system, an insect museum and botanical garden.  It would easily take a day to go through each part of the dome.  Hopefully my next trip down I will be able to check out the animals and stars.

15.9.09

pimp my ipod.

Love, love, love!  It's so good to see that Keith is still relevant during technological change and time.  It can be 1989 forever on your Iphone or Ipod!  Another must have on my list, cute KH gelaskin for your ipod, iphone or laptop.  Check it out!

14.9.09

mcqueen roundup resort 2010.

It is NY Fashion Week right now and I don't believe all the collections have been shown.  I was going to do a NY Fashion Week roundup but I'm going to wait.  Instead, here are my McQueen picks for Spring 2010 from his Resort collection.

dymo tokyo style.

I should have known that the Japanese were all over Dymo.  This is just a response to my Dymo post a few back.  I have found my lower case and a handwritten Dymo label maker.  Once again, it will have to wait unless I'll be heading to Japan to pick up some stationary goods in the near future!

12.9.09

marc jacobs for less.

The end of an era for me I guess.  I haven't seen anything for the past few Marc Jacobs or Marc by: Marc Jacobs line that I love.  It seems as though my taste has changed or MJ is just a bit more invested with Louis Vuitton these days.  He currently has his "special items" line which is a few things here and there that are specifically cheaper and targeted for those younger customers who want a piece of MJ.  Recently Marc launched "Don't Miss The Marc" which I believe is a capsule collection of cheaper items for his MBMJ line.  Jeans, Tees, blazers are in the mix and all under $200.  We'll see if MJ can continue his line and maybe do collaboration where everyone will go bananas.

vogue hommes japan #3.

So excited for this issue to come out.  I rarely get excited for Men's fashion but the editorials in this magazine are insane.

11.9.09

montreal series #3.

When I think of Montreal I think bagels, poutine and shopping!  When I am in Montreal must have for me is a bagel.  Some people are partial to Montreal bagels.  I love the chewy goodness especially with some salmon and lox.  I will for sure visit St Viateur bagels which is one of the best bagel houses in Montreal.

10.9.09

i'd die.

Okay, don't get me wrong.  I love my reality fashion television but honestly, can Rachel Zoe be this irritating.  Watching season one last year Rachel Zoe's crazy life of styling celebrities, drinking Starbucks, texting and shouting her now copywritten catch phrases "I'd die", "Shut it down", "BAH-NAN-NAS" have now become over done in this seasons Rachel Zoe Project.  Can fashion be this superficial?  In the world of Rachel Zoe it can be.  It was exhausting watching her and her "team" running around, texting, more Starbucks in hand and bitching about Rachel herself.  I don't know how much more I can handle it but "I'd die" just to see what happens next.

9.9.09

dymo.

I've been wanting one for awhile and I finally got one.  The good old Dymo label maker.  I remember this in grade school where we had the old school one where we had to turn and click the letters.  I have the updated version of it.  I haven't used it yet but I am trying to think of a project which uses the embossed labels.  Does anyone know if they make a lower case Dymo?  We'll see what I come up with.

6.9.09

karlie kloss for pringle.

I think I am a bit obsessed with Karlie, I was going through the September issue of Vogue (blah) and I saw Karlie in the Fall ad for Pringle of Scotland.  Love her!

5.9.09

no more headbands.

Really excited about Gossip Girl Season 3!

4.9.09

say cheese.

I know it's been out for awhile but I stumbled on this the other night.  This will be on my must have list.  It is the Polaroid Pogo.  It is a digital version of the classic Polaroid and it prints out your pictures.  I don't know how I am going to get this because they only sell it in the States.  Hopefully, when I visit the US I will be able to track this down.  Or if anyone is visiting the States you will have too look out for this for me!

montreal series #2.

* photos taken from simons dot ca.

One of my must go to places has to be Simons in Montreal.  I love the fact that it's Quebec owned and that they have kept most of the stores in Quebec.  Which makes you wonder why can't we have more Canadian made fashion houses without it being franchised off somewhere.  I love the fact that they carry their own in house brands which vary in styles for men, women and kids.  They also carry an array of designer brands also which is nice to mix and match pieces.  I can't wait to visit this Quebec fashion house and they have amazing socks!

3.9.09

cut copy.

I've been at Kinkos photocopying work for my new screens and images and I thought I'd post this poster art that was once something.  I took it in Hamilton but whatever this place was it had some cool poster art.

2.9.09

hamilton.

Living in Toronto my whole life I have never really ventured out of the city and visited surrounding cities.  The other day I took a trip to Hamilton.  It was a nice day and we got to cruise around the city and had a picnic.  I also got to finally visit White Elephant Vintage who carries an array of local handmade goodies mixed with vintage.  Here are some of my pics of the shop.  Go visit the shop if you are in the Hamilton area.
