I am so excited about this! We all know where I am going to be on June 11, 2010. I will probably be heading to Ottawa, to the National Gallery of Canada to see this amazing traveling exhibit. Pop Life: Art in a Material World is a collection of "pop artists" ranging from Warhol, Takashi Murakami, Jeff Koons and Damien Hirst to name a few. It was kind of funny because when I was in the Annex today at BMV I stumbled upon a Damien Hirst book detailing the diamond skull and there were some cool geometric diagrams in the book that were so neat. I might have to pick up the next time there. Not only will it be an amazing show, they are going to re-create The Pop Shop that is no longer in NYC. Can't wait until June!
ooh thanks for the heads up, i'd love to check that out too. martina
