goodbye 2009.

This is my first year of blogging and I am glad that I have some sort of readership out there. I think I've been following over 50 blogs since I started. This year has been a learning experience for myself and my work. I've met so many wonderful people at the shows I've been doing this year and I hope to continue with more shows. This year have been full of up and downs and I've been lucky enough to be surrounded by the love and support from my family, friends and Adam. I don't know what will happen in 2010, I hope to continue my evolving work and take it to a different level. Thank you for those who follow my blog and to many more posts to come!

mini mushroom moleskine.

The holidays are almost over and it was a fun Christmas this past week. I hope all of you had a wonderful holiday. I think I ate lots, shop lots and slept lots so I hope the New Year will be more amazing than 09. Here's a shot of my new mushroom notebook printed on a Moleskine. Great for jotting down lists and goals for the new year.

cookies by: davis.

* Caramel Coconut cookie jar.

I am a secret baker for all of you who don't know. I love baking when I get the chance. I put together a cookie jar for some last minute gifts. I got some jars at The Workroom and piled 12 yummy cookies and decorated lines by: davis. style with some signature grey ribbon and my owl wood plate. I think making something adds a personal touch to your gift giving this year. I will make some more cookie jars and will be selling the gift jars for anyone who is interested in a quick personal handmade gift. Look out for these cookie jars in the New Year. The cookies made is a recipe of mine along with other yummy recipes I have. The cookies featured are caramel coconut. Eat your heart out Martha!

new eternity scarf.

I am in love with my new eternity scarf. I fell in love with this shade of grey and feel of this secondary version of my scarf. It is Italian wool with a bit of lycra. I took some photos of it the other day and I love how my photos came out. Check out the new eternity scarf for sale in the New Year.

weekend style issue #7.

The year is almost over and for this Weekend Style I'd like to say that I've been blogging about Karlie Kloss a lot this year. 2009 has been without a doubt the year for Karlie Kloss. Having many editorials in American Vogue it has been clear that she's a favourite of theirs, walking many shows and landing strong ad campaigns I would have to say that it has been a good year for her only being the 17 years old. I hope to see more of her in 2010 and all the other "it girls" that I have been blogging about.

cookies.

Now that shows have wrapped up and I can get a head start on my holiday baking. I love nothing more than home baked cookies. I have a few recipes I'd like to try out this season and hopefully it will be a hit. I will let you know how they turn out.

14.12.09

thank you.

It was a crafty weekend and I wanted to say a huge thank you for all the people who came by my table. There were so many of you that had wonderful things to say and bought up some stuff of mine. Thanks again to the wonderful group at City of Craft for putting on a festive, artful, energetic show. I hope all of you enjoyed the show and coming by my table to say hi or shop. I will be making more stuff so check back and see what I am up to. Until then, have a great holiday!

wall art.

I must say that I have been editing my work down and I really been liking the simplicity of my products lately. I am happy how things are working out so far. There will be some great gift ideas that I will have at the show. One of them is this wall art piece I did incorporating fabric buttons I made with remnant pieces. Here's one of them that I did which I thought looked simple yet colourful.

9.12.09

grey.

I am sewing away and I realized that my work has a lot of grey. I don't know if it was intentional or accident. Expect a lot of grey pieces from light to dark. So excited for this weekend. Hope all of you can make it!

late night christmas shopping.

Having hardly any time to Christmas shop, I will do it at any hours of the night. I did some late night shopping and as a guilty treat I had to get some Krispy Kreme Doughnuts. It has probably been like 6 years since I had one when they first opened in Canada so it will probably be another 6 or so years until I eat one of those again. Mmm doughnuts.

oh christmas tree.

I went to Adam's family's house for the day and we went out and picked out their Christmas tree. Although there was hardly any snow in sight, it was good weather to chop down a tree and put it for Christmas. There were many to choose from so it was fun walking around the site looking for that perfect tree.

shop local.

* elk oblong pillow.

I've been busy sewing and getting ready for the City of Craft. I have some new work that I've been working on so I hope you'll like it. Thanks to Jan for her Shop Local post on her site Poppytalk and using my Elk Pillow which will be available at the show with other *new items. It's been a busy month so I hope to see some of you at the show this Saturday and Sunday.

weekend style issue #6.

* images taken from style.com

Is it already Pre Fall 2010? I just finished going through Spring/Summer collections 2010 let alone think about Pre Fall 2010. It's good to have a quick fashion fix even if it is three season ahead. Chanel had it's pre-fall show in Shanghi and it's collection of east meets west was kind of nice to see. It's funny that I mention Shanghi because I've been obsessed and eating yummy Shanghi food this past months. Here are some of my picks with Jessica Stam and Du Juan modeling some pieces. Where have you been Jessica?

in production.

I've been a bad blogger lately partly because there are not enough days in December.  I am in the studio working away on some cute stuff for the City of Craft show and some new stuff also.  There will be lots of eternity scarves so come by my table and pick one up before they're gone.  As I mentioned the bird style is sold out.  I will be making new styles so please come by and check it out.  Until then I will post updates here and there before the show.  Have a great week-end!

sold out.

I've been out of the blogosphere for a bit but I'm sort of back. I've been busy helping out at The One of a Kind Show and busy making stuff for City of Craft. I wanted to update you guys on my bird eternity scarf. They are ALL SOLD OUT. I didn't have a lot of fabric to begin with but I made it stretch. They are all currently sold out. I was going to have them for City of Craft but they are gone. I will have new ones including the original eternity scarf at the show. Please check back for updates and new work on my blog. See you at the show!
