girls day out.

* Holts Cafe.
50 Bloor Street West, Toronto.

* Nadege Patisserie.
780 Queen St West, Toronto.

Having the most amazing brunch at Hoof, Vern and I decided to head up to Bloor St from some retail therapy. Nothing says girls day out than great food, weather and shopping. We had to stop in Nadege to have a quick snack. Biting into those pastel coloured macaroons are so satisfying. We had salted caramel, peach and chocolate raspberry. After some shopping and walking we ended the day at Holts Cafe where we were trying to soak up some much needed air conditioning after walking in the sun. We tried their cheese board with an array of local cheese and meat. Most places offer slivers of cheese and not much of variety but we were surprised of the quality and quantity of the cheese board we were given. Just don't tell the Holts Cafe people that. A simple yet filling mid afternoon amuse bouche satisfied our girls day out. Look for more food adventures, dinners, recipes and places to eat on our food blog coming soon.
